Spend all year fund raising and creating absolutely incredible gigantic “ninots”.  Then throw a couple week party parading the “ninots” around town.  Throw in a finale where you burn the statues down to the ground.  That’s a wicked festival.  That’s Las Fallas in Valencia, Spain. http://www.fallasfromvalencia.com/index.htm
