Naadam is the Mongolian equivalent of the Olympics or more colloquially known as  “the three games of men”.  The games are Mongolian wrestling, horse racing and archery and are held throughout the country during the midsummer holidays.

Rumour has it that a woman disguised as a man won the wrestling contest years back.   No ladies allowed; enter blue speedos!!!

Spend all year fund raising and creating absolutely incredible gigantic “ninots”.  Then throw a couple week party parading the “ninots” around town.  Throw in a finale where you burn the statues down to the ground.  That’s a wicked festival.  That’s Las Fallas in Valencia, Spain.
